ICIMOD Partnership

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is a regional knowledge hub working across eight countries in the Hindu Kush Himalayas to support mountain communities facing the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. With a focus on adaptation, resilience, and data-driven solutions, ICIMOD brings together science, policy, and practice.

In collaboration with AirGradient, ICIMOD is testing air quality monitors in high-altitude locations across the region. Together, the teams are evaluating device performance under extreme conditions and co-developing algorithms to improve data accuracy. This work helps generate much-needed insights into air quality in remote mountain environments while supporting climate and health resilience for communities on the frontlines.
