The Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) produces data-driven research to address the world’s most pressing energy and environmental challenges. Through its Clean Air Program, EPIC recently launched the Air Quality Awards to expand open PM2.5 monitoring in underserved countries. These awards will help deploy dozens of new monitors, providing essential data to guide national policies and protect public health.

AirGradient is proud to support this effort by offering in-kind educational services and discounted monitors, ensuring awardees have the tools and training they need to scale their networks. Together, EPIC and AirGradient are helping to make open air quality data accessible where it is needed most.
