How the SAMHE UK School Project uses air quality monitors in classrooms to support education, citizen science, and healthier learning spaces.

Project Details

SAMHE (Schools’ Air Quality Monitoring for Health and Education) is a citizen science project designed with and for UK schools. It aims to establish a network of air quality monitors in schools across the UK to understand schools’ indoor air quality better. AirGradient supplied 2,000 air quality monitors to SAMHE, supported by close cooperation with Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, and the University of York.

Community Impact

This initiative teaches students about the science of air quality, the consequences of air pollution, and how to use monitors to prevent further pollution and mitigate its impact.
