My Monitor is Connected to WiFi but Offline in the Dashboard

My Monitor is Connected to WiFi but Offline in the Dashboard

If your AirGradient ONE connects to WiFi but remains offline in the AirGradient Dashboard, first allow up to five minutes for the initial connection. If it is still offline, check the two common causes below.

1. Check the serial number in the Dashboard

The Dashboard uses the monitor's serial number to associate incoming measurements with the correct monitor. If the serial number entered during registration is incorrect, the monitor may connect to WiFi but its measurements will not appear in the Dashboard.

Use Where Can I Find the Serial Number of My AirGradient Monitor? to find the correct SN and double check it in the Dashboard.

2. Check whether the network can reach the AirGradient server

A monitor can connect to a WiFi access point even when the network prevents it from reaching the AirGradient server. In this case, the monitor cannot send measurements to the Dashboard.

Follow Troubleshooting WiFi Connectivity Issues to check network compatibility, perform the mobile-hotspot test, and review the required outbound access.

Confirm the connection

After correcting the serial number or network configuration:

  1. Power-cycle the monitor.
  2. Allow up to five minutes for it to report.
  3. Refresh the Dashboard and confirm that the monitor shows online and that its Last Update time changes.

If it remains offline after both checks, contact support.
