There is something special about stepping away from busy things and walking into nature. For me, hiking is like a reset button. It is a chance to quiet the mind, listen to the forest and recharge myself. I love sharing this feeling with the AirGradient team. This past weekend, we got together in Chiang Mai for our AirGradient Go Event. Our plan was simple: hike up the mountain to Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall in Mae Rim, connect as a team and enjoy nature. The trail welcomed us with green trees and the relaxing sound of flowing water. As we walked, talked and laughed, it was a beautiful reminder of why we do our work.

We carried the AirGradient Go, our portable air monitor, to track the air quality during our walk. Moreover, we used the Go event detail page to organize the event and keep our team informed. That’s really cool for our communication during the event. The platform allows us to create a new event, add branding, schedule and location. On top of that, we can link our AirGradient Go monitors to track live air quality and share the page link with participants. So everyone can text comments and stay connected. We spent 1.5 hours reaching the waterfall. It was beautiful, but the best part was doing it together.

As we moved from the open trail into the humid forest near the waterfall, we watched the PM2.5 levels drop in real-time. It was great to see the numbers of air quality confirm what we already knew. Breathing in the fresh air near the waterfall, the AirGradient Go proved it: nature really is the best air purifier.
We returned with tired legs, happy hearts and a great data track of our journey. It was a weekend that reminded us all of the best way to appreciate clean air, get out there, hike a mountain and breathe it in. This is such a great experience for our team to spend quality time over the weekend!
