Is AirGradient Go Weather Resistant or Waterproof?

AirGradient Go uses an ASA plastic bottom and polycarbonate top. The enclosure materials are UV resistant and weather resistant. The monitor can resist water when it is placed upright and oriented correctly, but it can be damaged if water enters through the bottom inlets.

The air inlets are on the bottom part of the monitor, so normal upright orientation helps protect the openings from water coming from above.

If the monitor is placed on its side, upside down, or in a position where water can reach the bottom inlets, water can enter the monitor and damage it.

Weather resistant does not mean:

  • waterproof
  • submersible
  • safe under running water
  • safe in heavy rain in any orientation
  • safe for permanent exposed outdoor mounting

For portable outdoor use:

  1. Keep the monitor upright under rain.
  2. Avoid placing it where water can reach the bottom inlets.
  3. Avoid placing it where water can pool on or around the monitor.
  4. Dry the outside of the monitor if it becomes wet.
  5. Do not charge the monitor if the USB-C port or cable is wet.
  6. Let the monitor dry before connecting USB-C power.
